LG D850 could be the LG G3, leaked with 2K display

It might be a little early for rumors of the LG G3 to start coming out, considering the LG G Pro 2 is still not available for purchase, but @evleaks has already got a photo of the user agent profile for what appears to be the G3.

We cannot say for certain whether the leaked phone is the LG G3, it is currently going under the codename LG D850. There is plenty of support to believe it is the G3 though, including the 2K display and codename.

The LG G2 was codenamed the LG D800 and the LG G Pro 2 was codenamed the LG D830, this looks like a progressive codename, which we have seen with the HTC M8 as well, stepping up a few numbers every generation.

Considering the lack of 2K displays in the first half of 2014, we suspect most of the phones running the 2560 x 1440 panels will appear in the second half of 2014, including the G3, Xperia Z3 and Galaxy Note 4.

The rest of the information on the user agent profile is not really any use, apart from the vendor being LG Electronics, if anything it confirms the company are working on a new device with a 2K display.

LG has started to trend towards two flagship smartphones every year, the LG G Pro is announced in the first half and the LG G is announced in the second half, previously named the LG Optimus.

Normally, LG like to keep all of their new design features until the second half of the year. This means the LG G3 will be the phone with the fingerprint sensor and probably a ton of new questionable software.

It is starting to become normal for the next flagship to be leaked right after the new phone arrives, an Xperia Z2 leak was found just days after the launch of the Xperia Z1 and we have been hearing about the HTC M8 for months now.
