New press renders for the LG G3 appear online

LG is set to unveil the LG G3 on May 27, and while that’s just a few weeks away, we already know almost everything need to about the upcoming handset. We’ve seen several blurry shots, but today we got a good look at the LG G3 thanks to some sharp press renders.

The new photos show the LG G3 in gold, black and white with a brushed metal design. While we’re still not sure if it’s metal or plastic made to look like brushed metal, it’s a sleek looking smartphone with minimal bezels. Definitely a winner in the design department.3-G3-Range1-3-WH

The LG G3 is a sleek beast, and it’s no slouch in the specs department either. The device will definitely have a 5.5-inch 2K display with a resolution of 2560×1440. The rest of the specs are rumored to include a Snapdragon 805, 3GB of RAM and a 13MP snapper along with the usual bells & whistles. Overall, everything is right in line with what we’ve heard over the past few months, and comparable to the rest of the 2014 flagships.

LG is really going to turn some heads this year with the LG G3 as it will be the first device from a major manufacturer to feature a 2K display. Samsung and HTC are rumored to have prime models in the works with upgraded specs to compete with the LG G3, but if everything pans out, LG is the clear winner as they only had to release one flagship this year – not a premium variant.

That said, it will be interesting to see if Samsung or HTC decide to ‘announce’ their Premium variants towards the end of the month. Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you posted on any new developments with the LG G3 as we get closer to its May 27 unveiling.
