Smartphones are amazing pieces of technology, but they are also extremely fragile. Sure, a lot of them are water “resistant” now, but you most can barely withstand a drop on the sidewalk. Caterpillar is known for making “tough” equipment, and they’ve just shown how tough their new Cat B15 smartphone is.

The Cat B15 smartphone isn’t going to knock your socks off in the looks or specs department, but it’s tough as nails and can truly take a beating. How tough you ask? How about tough enough to survive a drop almost 6 feet? If that’s not impressive, you’ll want to watch the video below.

Yup, that was a frontend loader running over 600 Cat B15 smartphones while they are turned on.
