The Xiaomi Mi3S shows up on AnTuTu

Xiaomi may not be a global brand yet, but they are very popular in China where they recently overtook Apple to become the third most popular smartphone brand in the region. One of the reasons for their growing popularity is their top-notch devices, and a new one just made an appearance on AnTuTu’s benchmarking site. Say hello to the Xiaomi Mi3S.antutu.benchmark

According to the benchmarks, the Xiaomi Mi3S will have a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. While there’s no 2K display, there’s plenty of power under the hood thanks to a Snapdragon 801. An Adreno 330 GPU will handle the graphics, and rounding things out are 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

The Xiaomi Mi3S will make shutterbugs happy as well with its 13MP rear camera and 8MP front-facing snapper. Needless to say, the front camera is a big bigger than what we usually see so you’ll be able to take some super sharp selfies. There’s been no word on the battery or any other bells & whistles, but you can expect the Mi3S to run Android KitKat 4.4.2 right out of the box.

Nobody has nailed down a release date for the Xiaomi Mi3S, but many expect the device to be shown off at a presser Xiaomi is holding on May 15. Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
