New Moto G2 leak shows larger screen and camera

Moto G2

Motorola is set to debut several new smartphones at IFA 2014 next week, and one of them is the Moto G2. We’ve seen numerous leaks over the past few months, and the newest one further confirms the specs while giving us a look at the G2 from several different angles.

The Moto G2 is the successor to the popular mid-range Moto G. It’s one of around eight devices the company plans to unveil at IFA, and it’s a getting a nice upgrade in several key areas. The display is getting a bump up to 5-inches although the resolution stays the same at 1280 x 720.

The Snapdragon 400, 1GB of RAM and 8/16GB storage options remain the same, but the Moto G2 will have a microSD slot this time around. You can also look forward to dual-SIM capabilities, front-facing stereo speakers and an improved 8MP rear camera. No word on the battery, but we hope it’s a bit larger than the 2070mAh battery found in the Moto G.

Pricing and a few other things are still up in the air, but the Moto G2 looks to be a fine follow-up to the original handset. If priced right, you can expect it to be a popular seller when it hits the streets after IFA 2014.
