Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen a number of leaks regarding the Galaxy Note 4. While it’s possible Samsung may surprise us at IFA, we basically know what to expect and what the handset will look like. With that in mind, we’re going to tell you everything you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.galaxy note 4

First up are the specs. While different sources have claimed various things, most of the specifications line up across the board. That means barring any last minute surprises, the Galaxy Note 4 will have a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. It will have the screen you wished the Galaxy S5 had, and it will look great. No doubt about that.

The chip that powers it all is expected to be a Snapdragon 805 or Exynos 5433 depending on your locale, but the memory and storage capacity should be the same across the board. This means 4GB of RAM and storage configurations of 16/32/64GB. The rear camera is tipped to be 16MP while the front-facing shooter will probably be around 2MP.

As for the extras, the Galaxy Note 4 will have a fingerprint scanner and UV sensor. Those features, along with a slew full of fitness apps, will be the main draw on the software side of things. It should come with Android 4.4 out of the box, and you can expect a quick update to 4.4.4 if it it’s not pre-installed. The S Pen Stylus is a lock as well, as it’s a staple of the Note series.

One of the main gripes with Samsung has been their lack galaxy note 4 backof originality when it comes to design, and the leaked Galaxy Note 4 photos from GSMarena show that’s slowly starting to change. It’s still not jaw-dropping, but the device won’t be as rounded this year and looks to have the same metal band as the Galaxy Alpha around the outside. The backplate appears to be plastic, but it’s textured so it should be easy to grip.

If you’ve been waiting for a Samsung device worth buying, the Galaxy Note 4 is it. The Galaxy S5 is a great smartphone, but it’s really just a slight improvement over the S4 aside from the fingerprint scanner. The Note 4 has an improved design, and it’s got a screen that will more than likely surpass the one on the LG G3. Yeah, they’re both the same resolution, but Samsung is known for its Super AMOLED displays.

The Galaxy Note 4 will be unveiled on August 3 at IFA, and it’s expected to be available soon after. It won’t be cheap, but it’s set to be the best smartphone Samsung has put out in quite some time.
