The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 launches in 25 new regions

Microsoft didn’t release their mini this year, but a whole lot of folks will soon be able to get their hands on the company’s newest slate. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is going on sale in 25 new regions, and the big day kicks off on August 28.

We’re not going to keep you waiting in case you’re chomping at the bit at the bit to pick up Surface Pro 3. The slate goes on sale shortly in Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and the UK. The Surface Pro 3 is already available in Canada, the US and Japan.

If you’re wondering what makes Microsoft’s tablet worth getting excited about, here’s the skinny. The Surface Pro 3 is a 12-inch Windows tablet with a sharp resolution of 2160 x 1440. It has a couple of 5MP cameras to let you take videos and snap pictures, and it’s pretty darned svelte coming in at 292.10 x 201.42 x 9.13mm and 1.76 lbs. There are several configurations available that range from an Intel i3, 4GB of RAM and 64GB SSD setup for $799 to a beefier i7 configuration with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD for $1,549.
