Hybrid tablets haven’t become as popular as some would hope, but if you’re a fan of 3-in-1’s, MSI has a new device you may want to check out. The company has just announced the MSI S100 Windows 8.1 hybrid, and it will work as a laptop, tablet or desktop PC.

MSI has dubbed the S100 tablet a “3-in-1” device, but it’s essentially a tablet with a keyboard accessory and HDMI out. Let’s just be honest. The MSI S100 has a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800, and that screen will features 10-point touch input. Under that slab of glass, you’ll find an Atom Z3740D, which is a quad-core Bay Trail chip.MSI-S100

The MSI S100 will have 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. A large 7500mAh battery will keep the power flowing, and you’ll be able to take some pictures with a 2MP front and rear cameras. Other things to note would include a microSD card slot, miniHDMI port, Bluetooth 4.0, Wireless N, and Windows 8.1 of course.

We’re not sure when the MSI S100 will hit the streets or how much it will cost when it arrives. Similar products start at around $450, so the new slate from MSI could be in that range.
