Amazon Fire Phone Available In The UK – Exclusive To O2

The Amazon Fire phone, announced last June in the US is now available in the UK as an O2 exclusive.

Running a custom fork of Android, the Fire Phone is a 4.7-inch handset with an HD IPS LCD display. Amazon have added a circular polariser to the device to boot which lets you use sunglasses with ease, Dynamic Perspective allowing you to tilt to interact with objects on the display, auto-scroll and more.

The Fire Phone has a 2.2 GHz quad-core processor combined with 2 GB of RAM and also includes Amazon’s live video tech support “Mayday” accessed with a simple press of the  button 24×7, 365 days a year.

Firefly combines Amazon’s catalogue of content with multiple image, text and audio recognition technologies to quickly identify and compare a variety of items from the world around you. Firefly also recognises artwork plus over 90 million items, including movies, TV episodes, songs, products and product barcodes. Simply press and hold the dedicated Firefly button to discover helpful information and take action in seconds.
