IFA 2014 is full of big brands and big announcements like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 unveiling and the new lineup of Xperia Z3 devices. Flying under the radar is an interesting new laptop from Lenovo called the Y70 Touch.

Lenovo introduced several new gadgets today with the Tab S8, ERAZER X315 and Lenovo Y70 Touch. The latter is a new laptop built with gaming and entertainment in mind, and it has the specs to prove it. Normally laptops and gaming don’t go together too well, but we’ve come a long way since the days of the HD 4000 integrated graphics card.Lenovo Y70 Touch laptop

The Lenovo Y70 Touch comes in several different configurations, but all the models have a few things in common. Your games and videos will look great on the Y70’s 17” FHD touchscreen display, and while the screen certainly helps, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M kicks things up a notch. The 4th Gen 2.50GHz Core i7 chip doesn’t hurt either.

The batteries (4 cell 54watt), display, OS and overall design stay the same on all three models, and the differences come into play when you get to the RAM and storage space. The cheapest model will set you back $1,399 and 2GB of GDDR5 on the GeForce, 8GB of RAM and a 1TB /8GB SSHD combo. $1,499 will get you 4GB of GDDR5 and 16GB of RAM while the top-tier Lenovo Y70 Touch keeps those specs, but swaps out the hybrid HD for a 512GB SSD at $1,689.lenovo.y70touch

We had hoped to see a few of Lenovo’s rumored handsets show up at IFA 2014, but the Lenovo Y70 Touch is nothing to scoff at if you’re in the market for a new touchscreen laptop. All three models are already listed on Lenovo’s site and are expected to arrive in October.
