Moto Maker is live in the UK, you can now customize the New Moto X

Moto X

The new Moto X was recently announced, and some consumers have wondered when they would be able to use Moto Maker to customize their handset. Well, if you live in the UK, you’ll pleased to know that Moto Maker has gone live today, and it’s ready to fill all your customizing needs.

In case you’re out of the loop, the Moto Maker site allows users to customize the new Moto X in a variety of ways. You don’t get to fool with the specs, but you can build the phone from the ground up on the outside. You can customize the rear shell in a variety of colors or go with leather or wood backs if you want to kick things up a notch. You can also set the accent color around the speakers and logo on the back or have a personalize message engraved on the device.

The customization options Moto Maker provides may not seem like much, but it’s definitely a nice touch in a world full of cookie-cutter smartphones. The device itself is no slouch either considering it has a 5.2-inch FHD display, 2.5GHz quad-core chip, and 2GB of RAM. It will run KitKat 4.4 out of the box, and you’re guaranteed timely updates for the next couple of years as well.

The new Moto X is priced at £419.99 stock, but some of the options will increase the price somewhat like the leather back or additional storage space. The Moto X isn’t ready for primetime in the UK just yet, but you can save or email the design so that you’ll have it ready when the device touches down in the UK.
