Huawei set to unveil their first Smartwatch at MWC 2015

Huawei is known for their smartphones, and the company plans on bringing a few new ones to MWC 2015 in March. In terms of wearables, they have the TalkBand which is nice, but a bit underwhelming. The company recently announced part of their 2015 lineup, and it looks like we’ll be seeing a Huawei smartwatch soon.

Huawei’s 2015 lineup will make an appearance at MWC 2015, and the company just revealed several new devices that may make an appearance. The Huawei smartwatch will run Android Wear, and was shown with a round face on a slide at the company’s presentation. Pocket-lint spoke with Jerry Huang, the director of marketing communications for the company, who said the Huawei smartwatch would be fashionable and different from other wearables on the market. They will also show off the follow-up to the TalkBand and another smartband of sorts.

In addition to the new wearables, three new smartphones and two new tablets were shown on the presentation slide. The Huawei tablets are listed as the X and M series and the phones include a new Honor handset, the Mate P, and the Huawei G/Y series. Little is known about any of the new devices, but we expect to see at least a few of them at MWC in Barcelona.

Huawei will be one of many company’s showing off their new wares at MWC, but they are one you’ll want to pay close attention to. Their smartphones are affordable, and their flagship models can run with the big boys for the most part. Many expect the company to start expanding their reach this year as well, so that new Huawei smartwatch may be easier to obtain than the TalkBand was.
