Moto Maker customization is coming to the Moto 360 in March

February is almost in the books, and with March comes dozens of new smartphones and wearables. We haven’t heard anything about the sequel to the Moto 360 yet, but customization is said to be coming to the popular smartwatch next month through Moto Maker.

For those not in the know, Moto Maker is a service Motorola launched that allows folks to customize the Moto X. It’s a nice way to let you add a little flair to your device, and it has quickly become one of the reasons to buy a Moto X. A new report says that popular feature will soon make its way to the Moto 360 smartwatch, but you might want to temper your expectations a bit before you get too excited.

The parts of the Moto 360 you’ll be able to customize are limited to say the least. You’ll be able to pick a casing in gold, silver or black and fit it with the watch strap of your choice – that’s it. While it’s not as earth shattering as we had hoped, it will give you a chance to see the smartwatch with different bands before you buy it. Considering most folks pick theirs up online, it’s a move that should pull in some new customers.

We were hoping for a bit more customization with the news of Moto Maker coming to the 360, and while we were a little disappointed, it’s a start. The sequel to the Moto 360 could bring more customization to the table when it arrives, and you can bet any new bands or casings for the original will show up in Moto Maker as well.

What kind of customization would you like to see from Moto Maker for the 360?
