Say your dear old dad likes to start each morning with the news. You can plug the television into the 3rings plug, and the company’s cloud-based portal will listen and send you a ping whenever there’s activity. You set the parameters as well, so you can tailor the gadget to suit their hours or lifestyle.

At this time, the 3rings plug is only available for folks in the UK, but the company has a stretch goal that includes U.S. customers if they reach $75,000. As for the pricing, it depends on what tier you choose as the Early Bird Supporter 4 will set you back £40 and includes a plus and a free month of the subscription service which would normally cost £12 per month. If you want to save a few bucks on the subscription, you can opt for the 3rings plug with a 12-month subscription for £95.

If successfully funded, the first units are set to ship out in September of this year which is right in time for the holidays. If you want to show you support or pick up a 3rings for a loved one, you’ll want to act fast as there are around two weeks left on the clock at this time.
