Batman: Arkham Knight for PC suspended due to issues


Each year gamers get a handful of top-tier games that are guaranteed not to disappoint. The Batman games fall into that category, and millions of folks were been eager to get their hands on Batman: Arkham Knight this week. The majority of them did, and if you own the PC version… sorry.

To say people have been looking forward to the Batman game is a huge understatement. If you watch TV, you have probably seen the commercials for Batman: Arkham Knight that have been jammed down our throats over the past month. Like many games, the launch didn’t go so smooth, and for the majority of PC gamers it’s been horrible.

The Batman: Arkham Knight issues have plagued PC gamers since launch, and while many have found various fixes Warner has decided to temporary pull the plug on the PC version. That’s something we don’t see every day, especially with a game of this magnitude. Here’s a brief snippet of their response this evening…

We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards.

As bad as the situation is for gamers with Batman: Arkham Knight for PC, it’s good to see the company acting quickly and pulling the wonky port of the game before more people get ahold of it. As angry as the mob may get, it is something we’ve seen across the board over the past few years, and it tends to go both ways (Payday 2 for Ps3) regardless of the size of the publisher or dev.
